Excerpt from recently-received correspondence from the USPTO:
A SHORTENED STATUTORY PERIOD OF REPLY IS SET TO EXPIRE 3 MONTH(S) OR THIRTY (30) DAYS, WHICHEVER IS LONGER, FROM THE MAILING DATE OF THIS COMMUNICATION.
Aside from the non-uniform number and pluralization handling applied to days and months, I am just wondering if this is some sort of test for the recipient. Do they want you to git ‘er done faster if you lack reading comprehension?
